Have you seen the Milky Way from an area with bright city lights? Here is a photo I captured of the Milky Way over Glenwood Springs, CO in 2017. When I captured this photo a few years ago I was reminiscing about how cool it was to be back in Glenwood Springs. 10 years prior I was 18 years old and eagerly awaiting night to fall from a vacation house not too far from where I took this photo. I still remember the anticipation that I was about to witness, and hopefully photograph, the Milky Way for the first time in my life. Months before arriving, I took all $1,500 I saved up for a car and put that money towards a Canon 40D and a lens. Little did I know how impactful that night witnessing the Milky Way would have on my life and career path in general. If you have the chance, please take someone out to stargaze as you could change their life for the better in so many ways. (Nikon D750 ISO4000 6 seconds with a 14mm lens at F/2.8).
