I **really** like this wallpaper because it brings to light a hidden truth a lot of people simply don’t know about.
Microsoft reuses a lot of old code over and over. The Windows 10 kernal (the “engine” of the OS) is based on Server 2016 which is a *good* thing but much of the other ancillary code comes from older operating systems. Do you think that they completely re-wrote Notepad or Calculator for each new OS release? Nope, same basic stuff that was in their older OS’s.
They do the same thing for the Office suites too.
So when a security vulnerability is discovered in Win 10, the same flaw is often times found in Win 8 / 7 / Vista and XP because they reused code from older OS’s. That is why it is a really bad idea to continue using a Microsoft OS that is not longer supported because those now known flaws will never get patched in your now or soon to be unsupported OS.
